Showrunners definitely turned this play up a notch for this season. For starters, the production features an amazing cast. Big Bang Theory star and four-time Emmy Award-winning actor Jim Parsons join the ensemble as the stage manager. He will narrate the pivotal moments of characters Emily Webb (Zoey Dutch) and George Gibbs (Ephraim Sykes). The cast also includes renowned actress Katie Holmes as Mrs. Webb, Tony nominated actor Richard Thomas as Mr. Webb, Obie Award-winning actor Billy Eugene Jones as Mr. Gibbs, and Tony nominated Michelle Wilson as Mrs. Gibbs.

The play was first performed in 1938 in New Jersey, followed by productions in Chicago and then New York. Over the past 90 years, there have been many renditions across the world. In 2009, a revival of Our Town opened in New York City and won numerous awards. Besides revivals, Our Town has had many adaptations, including a radio show, a feature film, a TV special, and a musical.
