Ethel Barrymore Theatre is a 1,058 capacity Broadway theatre, named in honor of esteemed stage actress (and Drew Barrymore's great, great aunt) Ethel Barrymore.
The theatre opened in 1928, with Barrymore starring in The Kingdom of God; a play selected for the opening by leading lady herself. Since then, the theatre has continued to uphold its reputation for quality productions that prove incredibly popular with audiences, with 2012's production of Death of a Salesman breaking box office records, grossing over $1,000,000 in one week!
With its sumptuous décor and impeccable shows, this historic theatre gives visitors a true taste of authentic Broadway at its very best!
